Przychodzi baba do lekarza.

– Ależ panie doktorze…

Lekarz stanowczo:

– Proszę się rozebrać!

Baba rozebrała się do naga.

– Co pani dolega?

A ona wystraszona:

– Przyszłam zapytać, czy w tym roku też będzie pan brał od nas ziemniaki…

 

Jest wiele lepszych i gorszych dowcipów o „babie i lekarzu”, jednak ten wybrałam nieprzypadkowo. Po pierwsze, czytając go w środku bezsennej, bolesnej nocy, szczerze się nim rozbawiłam. Po drugie, przypomniał mi historię opowiadaną niegdyś przez moją mamę.

 

Kiedy była młodziutką mężatką, czyli około pięćdziesięciu lat temu, w miejscowym ośrodku zdrowia pojawił się nowy lekarz. Nowy, nie znaczy młody. Mężczyzna wchodził już powoli w wiek emerytalny, podobno wcześniej pracował w dużym, miejskim szpitalu. Wybrał wieś ze względu na spokojny rytm życia, czego potrzebowało jego serce zawałowca.

W owym ośrodku zdrowia przyjmowało wówczas dwóch lekarzy. Jednak tylko przed gabinetem „miastowego” kłębił się tłum pacjentów, a właściwie pacjentek, na ogół w średnim wieku. Nowy lekarz przyciągał przede wszystkim panie z wieloletnim stażem małżeńskim. Tajemnica jego popularności była powszechnie znana wśród okolicznych gospodyń wiejskich. Wyglądało to następująco – każdej pacjentce „miastowy” lekarz kazał się rozbierać do samych majteczek. Niezależnie, czy ta przyszła z bólem głowy, wysypką na dłoni, czy bolącym kolanem. Obdukcja lekarska nie kończyła się na samym rozbieraniu, o nie. Gdy pacjentka zostawała już tylko w samych „niewymownych”, lekarz prosił ją o przespacerowanie się wzdłuż całego gabinetu. Uzasadniał to sprawdzeniem ogólnej koordynacji ruchowej danej pani. Potem następowało dalsze badanie. Lekarz obsłuchiwał klatkę piersiową chorej, prosząc o wielokrotne głębokie wydechy i wdechy, tudzież o pokasływania. Na tym, w większości przypadków, kończyła się lekarska obdukcja.

Kolejki były jeszcze większe niż wcześniej. Legenda lekarza rosła i zataczała coraz szersze kręgi. Na wsi, wiadomo, dużo się nie działo, nic dziwnego, że gospodynie domowe plotkowały o nietypowych badaniach ile się dało i z kim się tylko dało.

 

Sielankowe życie zawodowe starszego lekarza skończyło się dopiero wtedy, gdy dopadł go drugi drugi zawał serca. Wrócił do miasta, zostawiając na wsi tłum przepełnionych smutkiem pań.

 

Dzisiaj taki lekarz natychmiastowo i wielokrotnie zostałby pozwany za molestowanie seksualne. Jednak czasy, w których działa się ta historia, były zupełnie inne, niż nasze. Pewny siebie gość, umiejący używać słowa „proszę” i „dziękuję”, w dodatku lekarz (czyli uczony człowiek:) robił wrażenie na tych, umęczonych fizyczną pracą i kolejnymi porodami, gospodyniach wiejskich. Był dla wielu z nich niczym ucieleśnienie kinowego amanta. Nic dziwnego, że czuły dreszczyk emocji wyczekując na swoją kolej w gabinecie lekarskim. W dodatku nie popełniały żadnego grzechu. Robiły tylko to, co pan doktor kazał. I tyle.
